1958 Peterbilt Roadster

I found this on the web somewhere.
This Roadster does not pass Emissions testing so it is seldom that it is driven.
Mostly a show piece. It features a 12v71 Detroit Diesel with two 671 superchargers that put out 500 horsepower.

2010 Hemi Challenger

I had to add this Hemi Challenger to my list of favorite new Muscle cars.
I wish I had a money.

Pontiac, no more

Hello ,this is yet another post about the all American muscle car.
I like to cover various subjects in this blog rather then bore you with the same old, same old, but here is my second post in a row on the same subject.
Hey, maybe your bored anyway, sorry, I will make this short.

General Motors announced last week that they are dropping the Pontiac line.
I saw this coming a long time ago.
In business it is location,location,location.
In the car business,I like to think even with all the talk about m.p.g. and safety, the people still wanted style.
Pontiac has had the same look for 20 years now,the same basic grill design for 40 years.
The GTO in my opinion could and should have been the new generation
for Pontiac, but look at what they put out as a GTO in 2006.

Compare that to what Ford did with the Mustang, what Dodge has done to the Challenger and Charger, what Chevy has done with the Camaro.

Below is the concept GTO that Pontiac had considered for releasr in 2009.

Which of these two look like a GTO to you?
Location,Location,Location.
Pontiac refused to move,so they are dead.

66 Charger

I found this car at http://www.oldcarcity.com/, the seller is asking $8,500.00.

If I had the space, the time, and money this is something I would love to restore.

Bucket seats front and back and classic styling.

I want one of these

Firebirds and Camaros were my favorite cars in the 60's.Mopars were the monsters, pistol grip,4 speed shifters and horse power you could not hold back.
Too bad I never could afford to purchase on these beasts when I was growing up.
I had friends that drove these cars,Brads 440 GTX,Peters 67 Pontiac GTO,Bobs 1969 Road Runner.Nights riding around that I can remember like it was yesterday.
After growing up and getting married, I now may be able to own one of these cars of my dreams.
With the technology of the 21st century and the retro style of the 1960's,I want to put my foot to the floor, crank up the stereo and fly.
Here are a few pictures of Retro Muscle.
The Firebird has yet to be produced as far as I can tell.
What are they waiting for?

Chase seen from the movie Bullit

In my opinion the best car chase scene ever.

68 Mustang GT 390 VS. 68 Dodge Charger R/T 440
Steve McQueen does the driving in the Mustang, no stunt man.
A must see movie if you like fast cars .
